Smelly Cow Crafts
Hello everyone!
First I just wanted to say how sorry I am that I've been so MIA lately! I genuinely cannot believe it has almost been 2 months since I've made a post! However, I've been making some changes that I think will truly make everyone a lot more enjoyable, especially for me personally. So, without further ado, I'd love to introduce you to Smelly Cow Crafts!
Smelly Cow Crafts is something we had always planned to do. It was originally going to be operated separately from my Stampin' Up! endeavours and based mainly on making/selling crocheted goods. However, after giving it a lot of thought, we decided that the best idea was to combine the two into one single entity. Through Smelly Cow Crafts, we'll be selling handmade crocheted goods and papercraft. I say papercraft because we didn't want to limit ourselves to just making cards - we want to dabble in a little bit of everything! Cards, gift bags, paper albums, journalling cards, you name it! Creativity has no limits and the areas for experimentation are endless. In addition to our handmade products, we'll also be selling Stampin' Up! supplies for those who are interested. This won't be our main focus, but we're offering it as an alternative for customers who would rather make their own items then purchase the ones we have already made 😁
Now, you may have noticed I keep referring to "we" - this is another change that we've made. We now have a little team of 3 people running Smelly Cow Crafts: myself, my beautiful daughter Skyler and my wonderful niece Melinda. Sky still lives at home with me, but Mel lives 7 hours down the coast from us, so we're not exactly sure how we'll make it work, but trust me - we'll make it work 😉
Something else that I want to share with you all is the significance of the new name. Growing up, my late father always called Mel "Smell Mel" or "Smelly Melly". My daughter also had a pair of pyjamas with "Grumpy Cow" written across them when she was 8 years old - the nickname just stuck! I actually also have a sister who everyone thought loved cows - years later we learned that she doesn't actually like them that much and just went along with it because everyone would buy her cow themed presents for her birthday and Christmas each year! 😳 Personally, I have always loved crafting. So as you can see, the name Smelly Cow Crafts means a lot to me personally, as it reminds me of the beautiful family I have.
There have been quite a few changes over the past couple of months, but I can assure you, this will be the last! I am finally at a place where I feel like I can fully express myself, both creatively and emotionally. We are all so excited to start this new journey together and I cannot wait to share each moment with my wonderful family and each and every one of you! (including some new projects and products which will be going up very soon!)
I'm looking forward to bigger and better things, and I am so grateful for your endless support along the way. Thank you all so, so much. It truly does mean the world to me ♥︎
