Playing with Petal Palette

Hi everyone! I'm so happy that I'm finally getting around to sharing some cards with you all. Life has been pretty eventful lately, leaving me with barely any time to take a breath, let alone do some crafting. However, lately I've had a few spare moments here and there, and I've put them to good use by creating 3 different cards for you - which was SO much fun! Ironically, I'm not really a lover of pink things, yet that's the colour all my cards turned out 🤣

All products referenced can be purchased through visiting my website by clicking here and then clicking on the "SHOP NOW" tab. 😁 Enjoy!

A little while ago I purchased the Petal Palette Stamp Set. I just love flowers and I adore birds, so it seemed pretty much perfect for me! I think it's really versatile and can be worked in so many different ways depending on your style. Projects using this stamp set can also be as minimal or as detailed as you like, leaving lots of room for exploration and creativity!
There are 15 stamps included in the set, with a beautiful bird, lots of flowers to suit different tastes, many sentiments for each occasion, and a stunning dotted pattern to add texture. You can purchase the set in a bundle (like I did) which includes the stamps in either clear or wood mount and their corresponding Petals & More Thinlets dies, both for a discounted price of 10% off, or they can be purchased individually at full price. The bundle offer is only available until May 31st, so get in quick! It's definitely a fantastic bundle that I already love using, and would 100% recommend 😁

CARD 1

This card was definitely my favourite of the bunch! The products used include:
  • Petal Palette stamp set
  • Petals & More thinlets dies
  • Petal Pair embossing folder
  • Whisper white, powder pink, smoky slate and old olive cardstock
  • Powder pink and Memento black ink
  • Sponge daubers
  • Multipurpose liquid glue
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Calypso coral watercolour pencil

CARD 2

For this card, I used the same products as I mentioned above - the only thing I did differently was assembling the card. Instead of slanting some elements on an angle, I took a more structured approach by lining them up as straight as I could.

CARD 3

For this card, I tried to take a different approach whilst still keeping some the same look to match the other cards to a degree. I wanted to showcase melon mambo as much as I could because I think it's such a gorgeous colour! The products used include:
  • Petal Palette stamp set
  • Petals & More thinlets dies
  • Whisper white, melon mambo, and smoky slate
  • Smoky slate, melon mambo and Memento black ink
  • Sponge daubers
  • Multipurpose liquid glue
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Melon mambo watercolour pencil

Some elements of the cards that I used, including the ribbon, pearls and rhinestones, aren't from Stampin' Up! As I've only recently become a demonstrator, I'm still trying to use up my old supplies to make room for new products from the company. I'm really looking forward to having a whole collection made up of solely Stampin' Up! supplies, because they all co-ordinate and match up with the colours, making crafting so easy.

I hope you all enjoy these cards as I much as I enjoyed making them and sharing them with you! I'm starting to get my stamping mojo back, and I cannot wait until it's in full swing! I'm still getting the hang of this whole blogging thing, so hopefully next time I can incorporate a tutorial for you guys 😊 I hate clicking on blog posts when they don't give you a tutorial, or at least the measurements! Who's with me?

I drew inspiration for the style of cards 1 and 2 from Peanuts and Peppers Papercrafting, and the style of card 3 from Owl Star Stampers. They have both published tutorials, but if you would like to know exactly how I did the cards, just let me know and I would be happy to give you a run down in another blog post 😊
I hope I inspired to try out the Petal Palette stamp set! Remember to make sure I'm listed as your demonstrator if you purchase any of the items. I would love to know what you're thinking of purchasing and see what you're making!

I loved sharing my Wednesday afternoon with you all. Until next time!

Love, Tan xx
